Is an accessible self-tour of the Paris Louvre actually free?

Underground asked: I ask, because I noticed that there are different fees for temporary exhibitons, Would it be fair to say that there are various entrance fees . I perhaps overlooked the info on free entrance to the museum, can anyone confirm ? ThanksLAVERNE
