how to break up the vacation?

Hi, I am going on a tip to Japan… we will arrive in Osaka on the 13th of October and leave from Tokyo on 31st of October.
We will stay first in Osaka right now planning on staying 5 nights… while staying in Osaka, we will do a one day tour of Kyoto with a tour group. We also want to do 1-day visits to Nara
Would a total of 6 days (5 nights) in Osaka be long enough?
then we are planning on going to Nagoya for just 1 night so we can visit Italian Village and the Tokyo Museum, but may just do a day trip from Osaka to stay in Osaka for a total of 7 days.
then we are planning on going to Tokyo for the rest of the stay but take the train to do a one-day trips to Yokohama, Hakone, and probably Nikko. Then I know there is lots to do in Tokyo. So that is why we chose to stay in Tokyo for 12 days.
does this sound like a good plan? or should we stay in Osaka a day or two longer?
any suggestions will be appreciated.
oops I meant going on a “trip” to Japan, not tip LOL
